How to Track Your Baby's Feeds Effectively

Everything you need to know about logging breast feeds, bottle feeds, and reading the daily totals to spot feeding patterns.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

For breastfeeding: tap the Left or Right circle on the Home screen to start timing. A pulsing glow shows the timer is running. Tap the same side again to stop - the feed is logged with the exact duration and side.

2

For bottle feeding: tap Log Bottle, then use + and - to set the amount in ml (default 90ml). Add a note if needed such as 'EBM', 'formula', or 'donor milk'. Tap Log to save.

3

Use the Feed tab to see your full history grouped by day. Today's totals at the top show total feeds, total breast minutes, and total bottle ml - useful numbers for health visitor appointments.

4

Newborns need 8-12 feeds in every 24 hours. If your daily feed count is consistently below 7, discuss it with your midwife or health visitor. The tracker data makes those conversations much clearer than trying to recall from memory.
