How to Track Baby Milestones
Using the milestone tracker to celebrate your baby's development, understand expected timelines, and know when to mention a delay to your health visitor.
Step-by-Step Guide
Open the Stats tab and scroll to Milestones. You will see 15 developmental milestones from first smile to first steps, each showing the typical age range they occur.
When your baby achieves a milestone, tap it and enter the date it happened. The tracker records how old your baby was - fun to look back on, and useful information for health appointments.
The age ranges shown are approximations based on population averages. Most babies reach milestones a few weeks earlier or later than the midpoint and this is completely normal. Premature babies should be assessed against their corrected age.
If a milestone has not appeared well beyond the upper end of its expected range, mention it at your next health visitor appointment. Early support, when needed, makes a significant difference - and most of the time there is a simple explanation.
